New project launched in January 2016

    Liisi Laineste
A new cooperation project between Estonian and Polish Academies of Science has been launched in January 2016. University of Opole and Estonian Literary Museum, having signed the contract, will aim to study communication styles in the two cultures. In the age of Internet and increasing globalising / localising tendencies in communication, we witness changes in communication styles as well. Comparison between the two countries with different cultural and linguistic background shows how important questions like identity are discussed and reflected in everyday communication. The cooperation will define areas of mutual interest not only in the established branches of research (e.g. humour), but also bring together students and experts from both sides of the agreement.
