Experience has shown that the domain of Classical philology has been a pioneer in attempts to digitize the humanities. The modern classical philologist is more or less familiar with the various resources created for studies of ancient languages and the ancient world. Most of the resources used by Latvian classicists are in English and created for scholars all over the world. However, there are also local digital resources which are useful for classical philologists working between ancient languages, Latvian, and English.
This account gives a brief overview of the most popular free access digital resources for studies in the humanities developed and used in Latvia (digital dictionaries, online-encyclopedias, text corpora). Additionally, the aim of this paper is to share ideas and perspectives of local DH solutions for scholars and academics working within the field of classics and teaching classical languages in Latvia.
