Izhorian epic songs collected in Suomen Kansan vanhat runot (SKVR) corpus seem to be very interesting material both for folklore and linguistic studies. They comprise a part of Kalevala metric songs recorded from various Finnic peoples of North-West of Europe. For most of them it's the only source of linguistic information from the 19th century. The research on the base of this valuable and less studied material might be quite fruitful and important. In my presentation I summarize some preliminary results of my study of Izhorian epic songs morphology based on a database using data from SKVR collection.
