Dr Robert Parkin
Dr Robert Parkin retired from the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, University of Oxford, in September 2017 as Departmental Lecturer and Director of Graduate Studies. Before that he was a lecturer at the University of Kent and has also taught at Oxford Brookes University, universities in Kaunas, Vilnius, Riga, Bhubhaneswa (India) and Taiwan, and the Jagielonnian University, Kracow. His interests lie in the anthropology of kinship, South Asia and Europe, especially eastern Europe and regionalism in Europe. Most recently he has been researching issues of identity and local politics in western Poland.
