In ancient times, everyone spoke, and so did the louse, the nit, and the flea. The flea says to the louse: "I can't be caught easily. God, forbid I fall into the hand of a crazy man; the crazy man will rub until there is nothing left. God, take care that I fall into the hands of a wise man, the wise man will check me out, and I will run away from him. If I get away, no one can catch me. I will suck all the blood out of the person with my thin spike."
But the louse said: "I would keep running along the head when the hair is being combed. They won't catch me either!" But the nit said: “If I were a louse, I would eat the whole skull so that it would have big holes in it. I wouldn't give myself up easily. But I'm very strongly attached to the hair. No one can catch me!" But Christ heard the louse, the flea, and the nit speaking. He made the louse walk on the head, the nit to the hair, and the flea into clothes.
He put the flea inside the clothes because the flea can jump around there. And if a person catches a flea, he must rub it until the flea is gone. "But when he starts to check me out, run away from him so he can't get you again!" He put the nit onto the hair so that he couldn't move anywhere; otherwise, he would eat the person's head, as he had promised. And he made the louse walk on the head. And all the animals are still alive.

Mina küll ei annaks end kergel moel kätte. Aga mind on juuste külge väga tugevalt kinni pandud. Mind ei saa keegi kätte!“ Aga Kristus kuulis, kui täi, kirp ja ting kõnelesid. Ta pani täi mööda pead käima, tingu juuste külge ja kirbu riiete sisse.
Sellepärast pani kirbu riiete sisse, et seal on tal hea hüpata. Ja kui inimene saab kirbu kätte, siis peab ta teda seni hõõruma, kuni kirpu ei ole enam. „Aga kui hakkab uurima, siis karga ta käest minema, nii et ta ei saaks sind enam kätte!“ Aga tingu pani juuste külge, nõnda et ta ei saaks kuhugi liikuda, muidu ta sööks inimese pea ära, nagu ta oli lubanud. Ja täi pani ta pead mööda kõndima. Ja kõik loomad on praeguseni elus.
