I saw the plowing of the sea and the harrowing of the seashore, upon which linen was sown and the girls came to pick it. Poor me, I fell asleep when the girls were dealt out. Others got beautiful maidens, mine however was filthy, stupid, sick and wicked. I took her to the Viru river and the bear spring. I washed her with five waters and soaps and dried her, but nothing helped. Still I took her to our wedding feast.
