“Ei või süvvä, Mannikõne.”
“Melle nii, Mihklikene?”
“Käsi katski, Mannikõnõ.”
“Mähin kinni, Mihklikene.”
Who is that chopping in the woods?
The bird berry trunk, the bird berry crown,
the bird berry tree has pretty petals.
Mihkel is chopping in the woods.
Who brought him food?
Manni brought him food:
“Eat, eat, dear Mihkel!”
“I can't, dear Manni.”
“Why not, dear Mihkel?”
“My hand is hurt, dear Manni.”
“I'll bind it for you, dear Mihkel.”
